Spend a laidback week cruising the beautiful Galician coast out of Vigo! Explore charming fishing villages, beaches, and experience the best of Spanish maritime culture.
This is a relaxing one-week cruise departing from and returning to the port city of Vigo in northwestern Spain. You'll have the opportunity to go island-hopping, drop anchor in secluded coves, and soak up the Galician way of life on the water.
No major offshore passages are planned - just scenic coastal cruising and stopping wherever looks inviting along the Rías of Galicia. Enjoy tapas, wine, and sunset BBQs in historic harbors. This is a perfect trip for sailors of all experience levels looking for a casual Spanish summer cruise.
Your skipper will be Cristiano Ristuccia, a Trinity Hall Fellow and future trustee of CUYC. Cristiano is a very good cook and has excellent taste in wine. He looks forward to skippering his first summer programme trip in Spain.
Hi! I’m Joe, a first-year PhD student in civil engineering at Corpus. Originally from Leeds, I started sailing almost ten years ago and I can’t get enough of it! I am also a keen yogi so feel free to join me in my morning yoga routines whilst aboard Skylark 😊
Please bring soft bags only for the boat and see the 'what to bring' tabs for further details on what you'll need.
Apart from the trip cost you pay when you sign up, there will also be expenses for food, marinas and diesal during the week. These will be sorted out on the trip via the Splitwise app, and usually come around to £100. You must also pay for your own transport to and from the handover marina.
