Why should I select the Winter Ball pre-registration deposit option?

There will only be 80 tickets on sale!

This option gives you first-dibs before tickets are opened to all 2500 members of the Club

A chance to reunite with your new friends from your Summer Programme trip!

There will be a high-profile professional sailor guest speaker!!

What can I expect from this 'Ball'?

Think one-rung down from May Ball - and specific to sailing. The whole committee will be there, there will be speeches and celebrations galore. Key things to expect, ALL of which will be INCLUDED with the eventual ticket release:

• Champagne drinks reception
• 3-course private dinner in the Trinity Hall dining hall (some of the best food of all colleges!)
• Wine for each course
• Live music
• Professional sailor guest speaker
• Speech from the Commodore
• Port + toasts following dinner
• Prize-giving for serious racing awards and fun jokey awards from the Summer Programme alike
• Tables arranged in Summer Programme crew (catch up with Summer mates!)
• Professional photographer
• Personal, individual embossed invitations you can keep as a memento
• FREE AFTER PARTY in Cambridge

Terms

There will be 80 tickets on sale to this event at a yet undisclosed time nearer the Autumn.

These tickets will be released in stages.

By selecting this £15 deposit, you will be in the first release stage

In other words, the tickets will be released for sale to ONLY the people who have paid this deposit FIRST. If more than 80 people purchase the deposit and then go on to buy a ticket, then tickets will not be released to the public after this.

This £15 will be deducted from your final ticket price if you go on to buy a ticket. It will not be refunded to you if you choose not to buy a ticket once they are released to you. Final ticket price is TBC but expected to be in the region of £80-90 (which we endeavour to keep low but already think this would be a bargain for the many, many things included and how exciting of an event this will be!)

If you pay for the deposit and go on to apply and pay for a ticket when they are released but are unsuccessful (i.e. they sell out before your own ticket is confirmed) then the full ticket price + £15 deposit will be refunded to you.

If you pay for this deposit now and are unsuccessful in gaining a place on this Summer Programme trip then everything you paid for that trip including this £15 deposit will be refunded. If this happens but you still want to go to the Winter Ball, you will have to wait for the general release stage of the Ball tickets to apply then instead.
