Brilliant Balearics 10th - 17th July

Posted on the 22nd July at 12:00 a.m.

Blue sea, Blue sky and all day to get to our next destination. Sailing in the Balearics is just so relaxing
7 days in Mallorca? they asked - Oh yes! I said! And it didn't disappoint. The mostly novice crew were introduced to the relaxation of Blue Water Sailing, and although there were week swimmers on board, and not too much wind in the sales, we managed a mixture of everything. Diving in the crystal clear waters, swimming with fishes (and jelly fishes), exploring islands, avoiding rocks, learning to row, finding secluded beaches and shopping in busier towns, we tried to add a little of everything throughout the week. The wonderful Spanish food and welcoming Spanish nature was food for the soul. Much to skippers delight, when asked what type of mooring they wanted on the last night, it was a unanimous vote to be as far from the Maddening Crowds as possible...... so a quiet cove was selected and what an absolute gem Cala Mondrago was. The only real problem as that we just didn't want to hand Skylark over to our next crew.
