Cheeky September Day-Trip

Sadly, it's almost the end of summer. Time to get another sailing trip in before the cold comes. Sign up to join a one day sail down the river Orwell and around the local area.

 

The day has been picked for favourable tides that will carry us out in the morning and then back in at night. The plan is to meet in the morning (9 am) then head down the Orwell, likely getting to Felixstowe around 11 am. Depending on the weather we could either explore the Stour and stop for lunch, or head straight out to sea and eat hove to. In the afternoon we could practice some boat handling exercises and see how fast we can get Skylark sailing.

 

We will make full use of the day and get back relatively late, aiming for a 7pm dock (but no guarantee we will get away until 8pm). For those happy to stay in Ipswich a bit longer we could head to the pub :)

 

As with most CUYC cruising trips, complete beginners welcome! I'll make sure I confirm seniors and affiliates by Wednesday next week (4th Sep).
