Join us for a one-week trip departing from and returning to Turku, Finland. We'll have the opportunity to go island-hopping around the local archipeligo, moor up in secluded coves, and soak up Finland in the summer. Think saunas, hiking, swimming, exploring some remote island villages... and probably a fair amount of pickled fish.
There are no offshore passages are planned for this trip - just chilled coastal cruising and stopping wherever looks inviting. We already have enough experienced sailors in the crew to be safe and this trip would be appropriate for a complete beginners to sailing.

This will be my fourth summer programme with CUYC! I sailed with the CUYC 2022 summer programme (Balearics), was a first mate in 2023 (Norway) and then was a skipper for the first time last summer (Galicia). I am a final year PhD student at Sidney Sussex, so really this is just another way for me to procrastinate writing my thesis. Hi! I’m Joe, a first-year PhD student in civil engineering at Corpus Christi. With a background in dinghy sailing, I served as First Mate for a CUYC week in Galicia last summer and I'm excited for my first trip to the Baltic. I am also a keen yogi so feel free to join me in my morning yoga routines whilst aboard Skylark!
The trip costs the same as all the other summer programme weeks, so £285/£342/£456, depending on if you are junior/senior/affiliate status. Apart from the trip cost you pay when you sign up, there will also be expenses for food, marinas and diesal during the week. These will be sorted out on the trip via the Splitwise app, and usually come around to £100. You must also pay for your own transport (flights) to and from Stockholm.
See the "What to Bring" tab for the full list, but bring warm clothing, seasickness remedies if needed, sleeping bag, personal items, passport, and a spirit of adventure!
