Summer 25 - 04 Stockholm - Cruising in the Baltic

About the Trip

Hi all! Join us for a chilled one-week trip departing from and returning to Stockholm. We'll have the opportunity to go island-hopping around the local archipeligo, moor up in secluded coves, and soak up the Swedish midsummer scenery. This week will be very appropriate for complete beginners to sailing and those that want to enjoy a nice relaxing week of sailing!

We will be starting our trip on midsummers day, when the sky never fully darkens. Midsummer is a big deal in Sweden! The Stockholm Archipelago covers 650 square miles and has 30,000 islands to explore, so we wont be short on places to visit. Look forward to some relaxed cruising and stopping off to explore wherever looks inviting.

Your Skipper: Laurent Michaux

My name is Laurent and i'll be your skipper for this summer programme trip. I have been involved with the club for many years and have been crew and first mate for many CUYC summer programmes!

I have skippered weekend CUYC trips and this will be my first year skippering a week for the CUYC summer programme!

Laurent

How much does it cost?

Apart from the trip cost you pay when you sign up, there will also be expenses for food, marinas and diesel during the week. These will be sorted out on the trip via the Splitwise app, and usually come around to £100. You must also pay for your own transport to and from the handover marina.

Travel

You will need to arrange transport to and from the marina. We will try to coordinate this as a crew together in advance. Do not book any flights or travel until your skipper has confirmed your place and contacted you.

What to Bring

See the "What to Bring" tab for the full list, but bring warm clothing, seasickness remedies if needed, sleeping bag, personal items, passport, and a spirit of adventure!
