Set sail on an epic summer cruising along the impressive Irish Coast!

 

 

About the Trip

Sail along the beautiful Irish Coast from Galway to Donegal and explore the stunning Aran Islands! This region is widely considered among the most beautiful and scenic coastal regions in Europe. The landscape contains unspoilt nature, dramatic sea cliffs, Gaelic islands, fishing villages, deserted beaches, and remote anchorages.

The trip will cover approximately 200 nautical miles along one of Ireland’s most spectacular stretches of coastline, with plenty to see along the way. The week will combine relaxed days exploring the history, landscapes, and islands of the west coast with a few longer sailing passages to cover the distance.

No prior sailing experience is required! Bring good vibes and great energy!

 

 

Itinerary

Depart: Galway, July 25th

Arrive: Donegal, August 1st

 

Your Skipper: Laurent Michaux

Laurent is a very experienced sailor. Sailing is a huge passion of his, and he loves being able to share that passion with others at CUYC.

 

How much does it cost?

Apart from the trip cost you pay when you sign up, there will also be expenses for food, marinas and diesal during the week. These will be sorted out on the trip via the Splitwise app, and usually come around to £100. You must also pay for your own transport to and from the handover marina.

Travel

The trip will start from Galway and end in Donegal. There are many flights from the UK to Ireland.
