Adventure Factor: 5/5
Set sail on an epic summer adventure with a passage sailing Skylark from down the North Sea from Scotland back home to Ipswich! Are you looking for an adventure? Do you want to test how much do you love sailing under the stars and see sunrises on the boat? Do you want to see how fast can Skylark go and surf through the waves? Do you want to build miles? This is the trip for you.
We will start the journey in the beautiful city of Aberdeen, we will sail down the Scottish East coast passing by breathtaking cliffs and sea caves. Our first stop will be in Newcastle, where we can visit the city and enjoy "Geordie" hospitality. From there we will head down the East Coast where we can see seals on the water and the beautiful Norfolk coast to reach our final destination in Ipswich. A total of 550 nautical miles!
Prior sailing experience is recommended for this extended coastal passage, but adventurous newcomers are welcome. Be prepared for some long days sailing and some days visiting places along the way.
Depart: Aberdeen, September 12th
Arrive: Ipswich, September 19th

Lidia & Alessio are co-skippering the passage back. Sailing is a huge passion of theirs, and they loves being able to share that passion with others at CUYC.

Apart from the trip cost you pay when you sign up, there will also be expenses for food, marinas and diesal during the week. These will be sorted out on the trip via the Splitwise app, and usually come around to £100. You must also pay for your own transport to and from the handover marina.
The trip will start from Aberdeen so you can get the train there and then the train back from Ipswich.
