Solent cruising weekend #3
On the last weekend in May, CUYC Commodore Dan will be skippering a relaxed weekend sail in and around The Solent. Expect beautiful southern England scenery, group cooking and relaxing, and maybe a sea shanty or two. Not to mention the sailing! This will be relaxed cruising aiming at enjoying the surroundings.
Itinerary
Friday evening - Arrive in Hamble, introductions,
Saturday - Relaxed sailing and exploring in and around The Solent.
Sunday - More sailing, ending up back in Hamble in time for travel back to Cambridge.
Costs
Apart from the trip cost you pay when you sign up, there will also be expenses for food, marinas and diesel during the weekend. These will be sorted out on the trip via the Splitwise app.
You must also arrange your own transport to Hamble point marina and back (it's a few hours on the train each way). We can also try and arrange carpool. We will make a WhatsApp chat beforehand to organise.
Your Skipper: Dan Lloyd-Davies
I'm Dan and I'm a medical student at Cambridge. If you follow the club you've probably come across my ramblings as I'm frequently behind emails and instagram posts that get sent out to CUYC. I've been a skipper for CUYC since last year, and have done a lot of my yachting training and learning through CUYC - it is a great club!
