High quality training focussed on a small group of students to ensure maximum time to learn and practice. Taught by one of our experienced Instructors, this course will take your practical sailing skills to the next level. This course is exceptional value for money compared to commercial courses and is run on the Club's own yacht; Skylark.
Over the course of the trip each student will plan and execute a series of short passages interspersed with boat handling practice and navigational exercises. Some exercises will be group exercises where the Instructor takes general responsibility for the yacht and all students get an opportunity to practice skills such as mooring under sail, coming alongside a pontoon under power, etc, whereas at other times a single student will be given overall responsibility for everything that happens on the yacht and get a morning or day of real "skippering" but with the safety net of the instructor.
