We'll pick Skylark up in Southampton on Friday night and spend the evening aboard, settling in, cooking dinner and then maybe wander ashore to the pub. On Saturday our exact plans will be weather dependent, but we will try to get as much time in sailing as possible and cover some reasonable distance. We'll probably spend that night at anchor, or possibly in a marina depending on our final location. Our Sunday we'll sail back to Southampton and aim to get away at around 4pm, ensuring that we'll be back in Cambridge in time for dinner.
Who is this trip suitable for?
This is a regular CUYC sailing trip and anyone, with any level of experience is welcome to sign up. I will then try to select a crew in roughly first come first served order, however we do also need to make sure there is enough experienced sailors on board.
Expenses, Food etc.
The basic cost of the trip is £79, this covers the boat for the weekend. However we will also need some food and money to pay marina fees, so I have added on £25 of expenses to cover this, you'll see this when you sign up. We can provide waterproof kit too, if you don't have your own. New member will need to pay the £15 membership fee.
You'll need clothing suitable for spending all day outside in whatever the weather will be and you'll need a sleeping bag for spending the night on board.
