Course Overview

This trip is intended for people who are planning to take an RYA/MCA Coastal Skipper or Yachtmaster Offshore exam, and will run from the evening of Thursday 30th September to the evening of Sunday 3rd October.  Beginning and ending in Portsmouth, the first 1.5 days will consist of exam coaching given by one of the club's instructors, followed by 1.5 days dedicated to each student's examination. Training and examinations will take place on board the club yacht, a Sigma 38.

This trip can be done in conjunction with one of the previous (5 or 7 day) training courses or stand alone.   Since places are very limited, please contact the Practical Training Officer (Ben Winpenny) if you plan to sign up, who will liaise with you and club instructors regarding your readiness for your chosen exam.
